- Life In A Day -

I am really looking forward to the release of this.

Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald have put together a film made up of videos from people all around the world, all recorded on the same day, 24th of July 2010.  What happens when you send a request out to the world to chronicle, via video, a single day on Earth? You get 80,000 submissions and 4,500 hours of footage from 192 countries.

It is such an incredible idea seeing as we all live in a you tube/social media age where videos are used almost as frequent as photographs to entertain, educate or inform.  Weather people film videos themselves for others to see or simply just watch videos of other people for entertainment, we all in one way or another have or have had an experience with video. 

The idea of a massive group of people all filming their day, their experiences of this one moment in time is so cool and I cant wait to see how the film has been put together and how all the different experiences of the exact same day come together. 

It is said to be released on the 24th of July 2011, one year from the exact date of filming so it is one I will definitely make the effort to go see.  (see the trailer above!)
